I had predicted 2 weeks after school began for the kids to adjust, make friends and start the typical comings and goings of teenage life. Seems I overestimated. It took just 2 days. I spent a very peaceful Friday night home alone. Both the kids had sleepovers. With their new BFF's. Boo and T had the slight advantage of being placed on the same soccer team. We discovered that T's family lives on our street. After about 2 weeks of them both separately riding past each others home, too shy to knock on the door, they finally exchanged numbers at practice with plans to go swimming. Now, several sleep overs, bike rides around town and a couple hundred games of billiards later...they are inseparable. Today they are at the water park. Certain to be scoping out the hottest girls. T's dad told me recently that they moved the end of last year to our neighborhood. He wasn't sure why because their old house was within walking distance of the soccer fields and now they h...

Alarm clocks are the work of Satan. I think that when I have to set my alarm, I hate hate hate being loud shrilling beeped out of sleep so much, that I wake up 30-50 mins early to save myself the jump start. This would be a good thing except on nights where I have to wake up 5 hours after laying down. Oh well, sleep is highly over rated right? I had to attend seat belt training this am. It was at the crack of dawn to save us having to stand in a parking lot for 3 hours during mid-day heat. I didn't quite understand why we had to be trained on how to use seat belts, until I watched a few folks attempt the task. Apparently the class is a learning experience for some. Redundant for others. It was my first exposure to co-workers. To date most of my socializing has been with trainers and supervisors. I must say that a large number of folks went out of their way to introduce themselves. Friendly and welcoming. I was even tucked under the wings of 2 veteran drivers who seem awe...

Been doing a bit of cleanin up on my web haunts. Think I am finally content with my redecorating in here. It is a bit more fitting and girly. And don't forget purple. I decided to revamp my photo album yesterday. I have had several of my Florida friends hunt me down lately. Nice to know they are thinking about us. Everyone is askin for pictures. I was not happy with the way the photo blog worked. I couldn't make albums and the uploading was time consuming and tedious. So I did a bit of research and found a software program and got it uploaded yesterday. I like it. Its a bit boring, but the functionality is nice. I know from experience, if something takes too much time, I won't bother keeping it up to date. With this software, I can post pictures directly from my desktop. So maybe just maybe *fingers crossed* I will use it. I made a new blog category. SCvsFL It is going to be dedicated to all the things I find different between FL and SC. I'm not comparing...
